Brick–pits to the north of Chesterton, probably brought with sedge from some distant place, I could not find it again, CC Babington, 10.6.1859, collected as R. baudotii?,det .R. baudotii CDK Cook 1959 & conf S Webster 1990, CGE.
Ranun baudotii It did not appear in 1861 or 62. Probably brought with sedge from the sea where it had slightly brackish water, and wanting that failed in establishing itself here. Bab.ann.
