one clump on edge of drove alongside carr with Thelypteris between the ends of Christie's and Verrall's Droves, DE Coombe, (on excursion with H Gilbert-Carter, 20.5.1946, i.e. not where Mitchell saw it, and where it was not found again by Coombe [? and RW David] in l984, (DEC in litt. 16.5.1984).

5 or 6 tussocks in uncut Phragmites, Calamagrostis spp., Carex elata etc. 2 yds beyond the patch of carr on the left between Thompson & Christie's, and 8 yds in on the left, (coming from windpump); all but one rather small, & sterile, and that with only 2 depauperate inflorescences. Voucher spec. conf. by RW David and given to SM Walters, 12.5.1984, DE Coombe (as above).
