Odsey. Fordham,1859; Thalictrum minus L. In some of the "roundabouts" in the fields.... I forget local words, but in the middle of two of the divisions of the "Hundred Field" was a "roundabout" i.e. a small thicket to break the wind, there I found the Thalictrum but cannot remember if by both roundabouts. It was varied in form and size. [Probably the roundabout at 289.381. ...Chalk grass heath obviously extended right across this area. T James.] [Odsey, 1848-1852] Barnard,1900; Mr Fordham states that the T. minus is found in the field by the sand-pit plantation at Odsey and by the railway arch there; it is probably T. saxatile. Bab.1860,1.3; Mr Fordham gives T. minus as found at Odsey (probably it is T. flexuosum) in the field by the Sand-pits plantation and by the Railway Arch. Bab.MS.Fl.1.3.

Visited Allington Hill....In the Botannical way I met with one novelty, wh never occurred to me before in this neighbourhood viz. the Thalictrum minus a plant given by Relhan in his Flora Cant. but not mentioned as growing there: it was plentiful in three or four different places but not general thro'out the hill: it was in high perfection for gathering, some specimens being in full flower, others only in bud.
